You won't see this guitar every day! This is a pre-owned Fender Custom Shop guitar from the early days of the Custom Shop, built by Herb Gastelum/John Page . It's a Strat with a gorgeous, very space-agey Black Holoflake finish and loaded with three Texas special pickups which are fairly hot with a high output. In the early 1990s Fender produced these ‘holoflake’ style strats, which is to say a base layer of gloss black followed by lots of large metal flakes followed by a final clear coat. The finish sparkles with the colors of the rainbow and it looks fabulous. But, as you can imagine its not quite for everyone. The guitar has a 2-point tremolo and chrome hardware
The body is made of Select Alder for great warm tone. The 25.5 inch scale Birds-eye maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with 21 frets. A trio of Custom shop Texas specials accompany a 5 way switch and a Fender 2 point trem for rock solid performance. Top notch quality on a great feeling and sounding guitar!
The action is low, the frets are still as new, and the neck is straight. The CS pickups deliver a variety of tones. A Killer guitar. Collector owned, it has seen little playtime since 1994 when imported from the states. It shows No noticeable playwear. No marks/dents/impressions, very clean indeed. Perhaps the nicest example you are likely to find for this series. Comes in its original Old school Fender hard shell case with a pile of candy with no COA.
