Outrageous vintage Bass VI tones without the outrageous price! The Fender VI offers players a killer retro bass experience along with great quality and with modern features. Everything from Jack Bruce bass freak outs to crazy spaghetti western twang can be coaxed from the instrument. Crafted in the USA custom shop, the quality is some of the best. The body is alder for good tone and has been factory reliced as a "Closet Classic" which is considered a light relic featuring slight relic/checkering on the body. The 28.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Dual Special Design Jaguar single coils deliver twangy tones (the middle Pick-up is reverse wound). Unique lead/rhythm switching allows for a variety of tones. A Stopbar tailpiece and staytrem bridge add sustain while Kluson style tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is classic vintage White which has aged to a nice bannana pudding. Set off by chrome hardware and a tortoise guard. A great instrument for the studio and an amazingly underrated stage tool!
This Fender plays and sounds great. The action is good, the neck is straight and the frets are full. The pickups sound very cool and deliver tons of tones. Everything works as it should. This is a solid instrument in Mint condition. It would be silly to rate a relic on condition but judging by the frets and contours she's seen little to no play. Comes in the original hardcase with COA and other case candy.
Fender no longer offers bass VI. You can sometimes find them from Japanese dealers so grab a fairly rare and in demand guitar.
