Gibson's Faded Les Paul Standard has found favour among tone savvy players thanks to its woody tone and great looks. Basically a Les Paul Standard without the thick, glossy finish. The mahogany body adds warmth while the carved, figured maple top adds brightness and beauty. The 1 piece mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. Zebra coil Burstbucker Pro pickups dish out classic tone with increased bite and midrange. A Stopbar tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and Kluson style tuners round out the package. This example is finished in a gorgeous faded Cherry burst lacquer.
This Les Paul has nice tone and good feel. The pickups sound great. A very nice Les Paul. This is a solid guitar in Mint condition. The faded finishes age to look like a lot like a vintage guitar. You could say this a corksniffer. Under the bed Condition and very clean. The hardware is in great shape and from the look of the frets the guitar has seen little playtime. Comes in a Gibson hardshell case with some paperwork.
Gibson no longer offers the Faded Les Paul Standard. A real shame as they were a lot of guitar for the Money. Many players find these to be great guitars for stage and studio but also for modifications. Alot lighter in weight and evenly balanced. A real head-turner and something inventively different from the standard les paul. A Les Paul with vintage vibe at an affordable price.
