Here's an incredible ES-335 in a very cool and rare color! During the early 90s, Gibson was looking to get back to basics and return to the original 335 formula. Fast forward 28 plus years and these guitars have become super popular. This one was built in Nashville making it even more desirable than a stock model. The body is laminated maple with a maple sustain block. The mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. The pickups are original ink stamped 57 Classic reissues. Grover Rotomatic tuners, a Stopbar tailpiece and Tuneomatic bridge round out the hardware. The finish is a gorgeous pearl white lacquer a very rare and unique color. What a great looking guitar!
This ES-335 would make a great addition to most any gear arsenal. Plays great and has nice tone. Typical slim to medium 90's neck carve with good action. The pickups sound great with nice warmth and articulation. Everything works as it should. Condition wise, this one has very little wear for a 27 year old instrument. Light pick, clearcoat and polish scratches/swirls. Some finish yellowing on the back of the neck from where i assume she was resting on the stand. Still very nice looking with a killer vibe Comes in original hardshell case.
I’ve been watching the market in recent years on early dot reissue guitars and seen some substantial growth. not surprising given the quality of Gibson's newer range. Some of the big vintage dealer guys are asking quite alot more but i feel my pricing is consist with demand and value for money.
