GIBSON USA Les Paul Classic Custom " Ebony + Baked Maple " (2012)

A new take on the legendary Les Paul! The Les Paul Classic Custom combines the DNA of Gibson's most popular guitars for an exciting instrument that really steals the show. All of the Les Paul's trademark ingredients are here. The body is mahogany with a carved maple top. The 24.75 inch scale mahogany neck features a baked maple fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. Dual 57 Classic humbuckers dish out big tone. A Tuneomatic bridge, Stopbar tailpiece and Grover tuners round out the package. Top notch appointments include nickel plated hardware, multiple body binding, and a bound headstock with crown inlay. The finish is a gorgeous Ebony that really nails the vibe of an old Les Paul. A very, very attractive instrument!

The Classic Custom has a tighter and more controlled tone than the Classic Plus, with plenty of brightness at clean and crunchy settings. Turn up the gain and it feels a little smoother and less eager to let rip… metal players may find that this is not the most entertaining Les Paul in the world to play, but tasteful rock and blues fans will surely love the refinement of its super-sweet voice – thanks in no small part to those covered 57 pups. Basically, it’s a grown-up guitar.

This is a Superb Les Paul. The slim neck is comfortable. The action is low and the frets are Very Full. The 57 Classics are smooth and deliver big PAF tone. A really, really cool Les Paul. This is a nice and Very Clean Example. It shows virtually no playwear, Just the lightest evidence to the rear of the body in the form of surface/clearcoat swirling. Comes in original hardshell case with Case Candy.
