GIBSON USA Les Paul Custom 1968 Reissue LTD *1 OF 4 "AAA+ Natural + Ebony" (2003

Get a load of this Les Paul! The Gibson Custom Shop really knocked themselves out on this one! The 68 reissue is the guitar to get if you love the fanciness of a Les Paul Custom and also want a gorgeous flame top. Check out the gorgeous figure on this example. That's as close to perfect as you get in my book! Top notch materials and workmanship here. A solid, non weight relived mahogany body pumps out big tone. The one piece 24.75 inch scale mahogany neck features an ebony fingerboard with gorgeous pearl bloack inlays. The gorgeous flame maple top adds beauty and high end to the sound. Dual 57 Classic humbuckers dish out warm and smooth tones. Stopbar tailpiece and tuneomatic bridge team up with Grover Rotomatic tuners to keep everything rock solid. All of the Les Paul Custom's trademark appointments are there including a pearl split diamond headstock inlay, tons of multi ply binding and gold plated hardware. The whole package is finished in a gorgeous amber natural lacquer that really shows off the flame. Semi Mick Ronson vibe. A stunning guitar that really looks incredible!

This Les Paul has the silky feel that Les Paul Customs are known for. Good action with a straight neck. The dual 57 Classics sound great and pump out great tone. If Burstbuckers are a bit to weak for you, the 57 Classics may ring your bell. This is a nice clean guitar too. Virtually no-playwear, just some light gold fade to the tailpiece and a very small impression on the back of the body. Very nice looking guitar. Comes in original hardshell case with some paperwork. Only four of these were available at the time from Andertons. This was a limited run in collaberation with Andertons. Im led to believe that only a few were brought into the UK.
