Gibson’s Les Paul Standard is a legend. Here's a superb example with all the best "good wood" specs and a gorgeous top! This one weighs just over 9 pounds also with the sustain to match. In addition we have a 1 piece mahogany solid body. All the Good specs equating to awesome tone. The mahogany body adds warmth while the carved, plain maple top adds brightness and beauty. The 1 piece mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. 490/498 pickups dish out classic tone with increased bite and midrange. A Stopbar tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and grover tuners round out the package. This example is finished in gorgeous Honey-Burst lacquer. A really great looking guitar.
This Les Paul has nice tone and good feel. The pickups sound great and the neck is easy to play. The neck shape feels to be a medium taper neck. Bigger than most 60s necks I've seen but not huge. A nice playing and sounding example. In amazing condition and we all know how hard that is to come buy for this era. Even the most fussy of customers would be pushed to find any hint of a surface swirl or previous signs of use – It is exceptionally clean and complete with the original Gibson hard-shell case.
