Personal Thoughts:
Levi Perry’s Masterbuilt Stratocasters have a reputation for getting the balance right — authentic feel, period-correct tone, and modern playability where it matters. This ’60 Reissue is a superb example of that approach.
The Heavy Relic finish is tastefully executed, with convincing wear patterns that feel organic rather than overdone. The Three Tone Sunburst has real depth, and the nitro finish lets the alder body resonate freely.
Tonally, this guitar delivers exactly what you’d hope for from a handwound 60/63 set: open, articulate highs, a woody and vocal neck pickup, and a bridge that cuts without becoming brittle. The in-between positions are classic Strat — glassy, elastic, and incredibly responsive to dynamics.
The oval “C” neck is comfortable and familiar, with enough shoulder to feel substantial while remaining fast and forgiving. Combined with the 10" radius and narrow tall frets, it plays effortlessly while still retaining a vintage-correct feel.
This is a Masterbuilt Strat that works equally well as a serious player’s instrument or a top-tier collector piece.
Condition Report:
Mint condition. No wear beyond the factory Heavy Relic treatment. Frets are pristine, hardware is clean, and the guitar has seen virtually no use since leaving the Custom Shop. Supplied with original Fender Custom Shop case, Certificate of Authenticity, Floor Traveler, and case candy.
