OUR STORY
Squealing Pig Guitars was born in 2009, not in a boardroom, but in a music-filled family home.
It started when our dad decided to sell his lifelong guitar collection, pieces he’d gathered through decades of touring and trading. What could’ve been a sad goodbye turned into a spark. Watching those guitars find new homes and new players lit something in us.
We weren’t a business back then. Just a family raised on guitar riffs, piano chords, and drums echoing through the house. Guitars weren’t just instruments to us. They were part of who we were.
So we reinvested. Bought more. Traded more. Learned more.
What began around the kitchen table quickly became something bigger - a trusted name built on passion, knowledge, and genuine love for great instruments.
Today, we connect players with exceptional guitars from across the globe. Every piece is carefully sourced. Every sale is personal.
Because for us, this was never just business. It’s always been about the music.

MOVING FORWARD
Over the past decade, Squealing Pig Guitars has become a respected boutique destination for discerning players and collectors around the world.
We specialise in carefully sourced pre-owned instruments from the most sought-after brands, with a reputation built on transparency, deep knowledge, and genuine care. Every guitar is chosen with intent. Every sale handled properly.
In 2021, after years of operating exclusively online, we opened our first physical showroom in Staffordshire - creating a space where customers could experience our guitars in person and deal with us face-to-face.
In 2024, we took our biggest step yet, relocating to Nottingham - a thriving hub for music and creativity. The move gave us room to expand our collection and elevate the experience we offer. It marked not just a new location, but a new chapter.
Part of that evolution has been strengthening our online presence. Through our YouTube channel, where we review and showcase the guitars that pass through our hands, we’ve built a growing community of over 13,000 subscribers. It’s become an extension of what we’ve always done - sharing knowledge, celebrating great instruments, and connecting with players beyond our showroom walls.
The journey hasn’t been without its challenges - lockdown, Brexit, even a shop flood tested us. But each hurdle reinforced why we do this.
