Personal Thoughts:
The Collector’s Choice #29 "Okuda Burst" is one of the most unique and finely detailed '59 Les Paul recreations to come out of Gibson’s Custom Shop. Based on Tamio Okuda’s personal 1959 Burst, this model has a beautifully rich, deep Sunburst finish, capturing the vintage look with a stunning, naturally faded maple top. The VOS treatment gives it an authentic, lightly aged patina, making it feel like a well-played, well-loved '59 Les Paul right out of the case.
 
The figuring on the top is exceptional, subtle yet full of depth, just like a true vintage Burst should be. The mahogany body is solid, with no weight relief, giving it that full, rich tone and unmatched sustain. The neck profile is a perfect late-'50s carve, chunky but incredibly comfortable, making it a dream to play whether you're chording or ripping into solos.
 
Sound-wise, the Custom Bucker pickups absolutely shine. Condition Report:
This Gibson Collector’s Choice #29 Okuda Burst is in excellent condition, with only minor cosmetic impressions. There is a small impression on the side bout and another on the side of the neck, but they are very minor and do not affect playability or structural integrity in any way.
 
The VOS Sunburst finish is beautifully intact, showing only the expected light aging from the factory, with no additional damage or wear beyond the factory spec relic treatment. The rosewood fretboard is in perfect shape, and the frets show little to no wear, ensuring smooth playability for years to come.
