Dale Wilson builds are in a league of their own — they’ve become the most sought-after non-vintage Fenders on the market, and for good reason. His heavy relic work is balanced yet dramatic — full of character, depth and authenticity without feeling contrived.
This one ticks all the right boxes: alder ’59 platform, AAA birdseye neck, slab rosewood, compound radius and Sanko 6150 wire — modern playability wrapped in true vintage aesthetic.
The Handwound Strat Specials are some of the best all-round Custom Shop winds — glassy when clean, ripping when pushed, fantastic midrange contour — they suit everything from blues and roots rock to modern lead playing.
The feel of the neck is sublime: the ’60 Oval C with that compound radius makes bending easy while still feeling vintage correct in the hand.
