Terms & Conditions of Sale

These Terms & Conditions of Sale govern purchases made through our website, by telephone, or directly through our showroom. By placing an order or completing a purchase with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Pricing

All prices listed on our website are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.

We make every effort to ensure pricing is accurate. However, in the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order placed for a product listed at an incorrect price.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Any price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted and paid for, except where a genuine pricing error has occurred.

2. Product Descriptions

We take great care to ensure that all product descriptions, images, and specifications are accurate. Many of our instruments are vintage, used, or unique pieces and may show signs of wear consistent with age and use. Any known condition details will be clearly described in the product listing.

If you require additional information, photographs, or clarification about an instrument before purchasing, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

3. Payment

Full payment is required before an order is dispatched or collected. We accept payment through the methods available at checkout or otherwise agreed with us.

Orders will not be dispatched or made available for collection until payment has been received and cleared.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

4. Ownership of Goods

Ownership of goods will pass to the buyer once full payment has been received.

Until payment has been received in full, the goods remain the property of Squealing Pig Guitars.

5. Shipping & Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders promptly once payment has been received and cleared.

Delivery times may vary depending on location, courier services, and other factors outside of our reasonable control. Any estimated delivery times provided are for guidance only and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

We take reasonable care to package all items securely and appropriately for transportation.

If your order is delayed, lost, or arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can assist in resolving the issue with the relevant courier or delivery service.

6. Risk of Loss or Damage

We take responsibility for the goods until they have been delivered to you or otherwise received by you in accordance with the agreed delivery arrangements.

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and provide photographs of the packaging and the instrument where appropriate. This will allow us to investigate the issue and, where necessary, pursue a claim with the relevant delivery service.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Returns & Refunds

Our full Returns & Refund Policy is provided on a separate page of our website.

Customers purchasing guitars remotely should review this policy before completing their purchase, including the conditions relating to the 14-day trial period, return shipping, the condition of returned instruments, and refunds.

The 14-day trial period applies only to guitars purchased remotely and does not apply to guitars purchased in person at our showroom.

Nothing in our Returns & Refund Policy affects any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

8. Right to Refuse Sale

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order where there is a legitimate reason to do so. This may include, but is not limited to:

suspected fraudulent activity;
pricing or listing errors;
product availability issues;
incorrect or incomplete information provided during checkout; or
circumstances where we are unable to fulfil an order.

If an order is cancelled after payment has been made, any amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded.

9. Showroom Purchases

Purchases made in person at our showroom are subject to these Terms & Conditions, except where a different arrangement is expressly agreed at the time of sale.

Guitars purchased in person at our 140 Nottingham Road, Stapleford, NG9 8AR premises are not covered by the 14-day remote trial period or a change-of-mind return.

When purchasing a guitar in person, customers have the opportunity to inspect, handle and, where appropriate, play and assess the instrument before completing their purchase. Customers are therefore responsible for satisfying themselves that the guitar is suitable and meets their requirements before completing the purchase.

This does not affect any statutory rights relating to goods that are faulty, not of satisfactory quality, or not as described.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

Any changes will be published on this website and will apply to purchases made after the updated terms have been published. Changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted, except where required by law.
