These Sell To Us Terms & Conditions outline the process and requirements when selling a guitar or musical instrument to Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd. They ensure a clear, secure, and fair transaction for both parties.
1. Ownership & Right to Sell
By offering an instrument for sale to Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd, the seller confirms that:

They are the legal owner of the instrument.

The instrument is not stolen.
-
The instrument is not subject to any outstanding finance agreement, loan, or security interest.

The instrument is not subject to any ownership dispute or insurance claim.
-
They have the full legal right to sell the instrument.
The seller agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd against any claim, loss, or legal dispute arising from breach of this declaration.
2. Identification Verification
To comply with anti-fraud procedures, Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd reserves the right to request proof of identity and address, which may include:

Government-issued photo ID

Proof of address
Failure to provide identification may result in the transaction being declined.
3. Accurate Description
The seller must provide accurate and complete information about the instrument including:

Make and model

Serial number (where applicable)

Year of manufacture (if known)

Modifications or replaced parts

Repairs or structural issues
-
Cosmetic condition
-
Any known faults or damage
Failure to disclose known issues or providing misleading information may result in:

The offer being revised

The purchase being declined

The instrument being returned at the seller’s expense
4. Conditional Offers
Any quote or valuation provided before physical inspection is indicative only.
All offers are subject to final inspection once the instrument is received.
If the instrument differs materially from the description provided, Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd reserves the right to adjust or withdraw the offer.
5. Inspection & Authentication
All instruments received will undergo inspection which may include:

Verification of authenticity

Serial number checks

Structural assessment

Electronic functionality testing

Verification of originality of parts
If an instrument is determined to be counterfeit, misrepresented, or materially altered without disclosure, Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd reserves the right to cancel the transaction.
6. Stolen Property
Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd actively checks instruments against stolen instrument databases and industry networks.
If an instrument is suspected or confirmed to be stolen:

The transaction will be immediately cancelled

The instrument may be retained pending investigation

Relevant law enforcement authorities may be notified
No payment will be made for instruments suspected of being stolen.
7. Risk in Transit
Where the seller ships an instrument to Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd:

The seller is responsible for securely packaging the instrument for transport.

Risk of loss or damage remains with the seller until the instrument is safely received.
Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd cannot be held responsible for damage caused during shipping due to inadequate packaging.
8. Final Sale & Transfer of Ownership
Once a final offer has been agreed and payment has been issued:

Full ownership of the instrument transfers to Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd.

The transaction is considered final and irreversible.

The seller waives any future claim to ownership of the instrument.
9. Payment
Payment for instruments will typically be made via bank transfer.
Payment is usually processed within 1–3 business days after final inspection and agreement of the purchase price, unless otherwise agreed.
Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd reserves the right to delay payment where additional verification checks are required.
10. Fraud Prevention
If Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd reasonably suspects fraudulent activity including but not limited to:

False ownership claims

Misrepresentation of the instrument

Identity fraud
The transaction may be cancelled and relevant authorities may be notified.
11. Right to Refuse
Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd reserves the absolute right to refuse to purchase any instrument at its discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.
12. Agreement to Terms
By submitting a guitar or musical instrument for sale to Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd, the seller confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
13. Undisclosed Structural Issues
If, after purchase, it is discovered that the instrument has undisclosed structural damage or significant repairs that were not disclosed prior to sale — including but not limited to:

Headstock breaks or repairs
-
Neck repairs
-
Structural cracks
-
Refinishes
-
Replaced major components
Squealing Pig Guitars Ltd reserves the right to:

Seek partial reimbursement from the seller, or
-
Reverse the transaction where legally permissible.
