This is a seriously classy Collings and one of the most refined signature guitars on the market. The 470 JL was developed around Julian Lage’s preference for a lightweight, highly responsive semi-hollow electric, and it has a distinctly old-school feel without simply copying a traditional Gibson design. The Antiquated Blonde finish suits it perfectly, giving the guitar a warm, understated appearance that works beautifully with the rosewood board and aged nickel hardware.

What makes the 470 JL particularly appealing is the way it bridges acoustic sensitivity and electric-guitar control. The semi-hollow construction gives the guitar an immediate, resonant response, while the humbuckers retain clarity and articulation rather than becoming overly thick or compressed.
