Our Trade Back Guarantee is designed to give you total peace of mind when purchasing from Squealing Pig Guitars. If your needs change, your tastes evolve, or you simply fancy something different, we’ll trade your guitar back — giving you confidence that your investment is protected.

1. Eligibility
 

• The guitar must have been purchased directly from Squealing Pig Guitars.

• The guarantee applies only to the original purchaser and is strictly non-transferable.

• Proof of original purchase must be provided.

• The instrument must not have been previously traded back under this programme
  
   

2. Trade Back Value
 

• We will offer 80% of the original purchase price paid.

• The 80% value applies to the invoice price excluding delivery charges.

• Any discounts applied at the time of purchase will be reflected in the original purchase price.
  
   

3. Market Value Protection Clause
 

The Trade Back Guarantee is based on the assumption of stable market conditions.

If the manufacturer’s Recommended Retail Price (RRP) or the general market value of the instrument has dropped significantly since the original purchase, Squealing Pig Guitars reserves the right to adjust the trade-back value accordingly to reflect current market conditions.

In such cases, the trade-back value will not exceed the instrument’s current realistic resale value.

 

4. Condition Requirements
 

• The guitar must be returned in the same or near-same condition as originally sold.

• Light play wear consistent with careful use is acceptable.

• The following may affect eligibility or reduce value:

  • Structural damage (including cracks, breaks or repairs)

  • Significant cosmetic damage beyond normal wear

  • Excessive fret wear

  • Modifications not originally supplied (unless agreed in writing)

  • Missing original case, paperwork or accessories (if originally included)
     

All instruments are subject to physical inspection before final approval.

 

5. Exclusions
 

The Trade Back Guarantee does not apply to:

• Consignment purchases

• Custom or special-order instruments

• Clearance or heavily discounted items (unless agreed at point of sale)

• Instruments returned with undisclosed damage
  
   

6. Settlement Options
 

The agreed trade-back value may be:

• Paid via bank transfer, or

• Applied as store credit, or

• Used as part exchange against another instrument
   

Payment or credit will be processed  following inspection and approval.

 

7. Process
 

• Customers must contact us prior to returning the instrument.

• Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.

• Final trade-back approval is subject to in-store inspection.
  
   

8. Right to Refuse & Availability
 

Squealing Pig Guitars reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse a trade-back request where the instrument does not meet the above criteria or where circumstances make the trade-back commercially unviable.
 

The Trade Back Guarantee is also subject to stock availability and purchasing requirements at the time of request.
