The I-35 Deluxe is one of the great modern semi-hollows in my opinion, because Collings did not just copy the old double-cut formula — they refined it. The core build is a big part of that. The Honduran mahogany body and neck, figured maple top and maple center block tend to give these a really quick, lively response, with a bit more focus and precision than many traditional semi-hollows. I also think the Deluxe trim really suits this model. The grained ivoroid binding, ivoroid knobs and the more dressed-up overall look make it feel properly special without pushing it into anything over the top. Merlot is a brilliant finish on one of these too, especially when the figuring is strong, and it gives the guitar a really rich, high-end look. Add in the Lollar Low Wind Imperials and it becomes a very classy, articulate semi-hollow that can cover a huge amount of ground while still feeling unmistakably Collings. The Merlot examples shown by Collings pair that finish with a flamed maple top and Lollar Low Wind Imperials, while the standard I-35 Deluxe platform spec confirms the semi-hollow maple center block construction and Deluxe appointments.

Excellent condition. Presents very cleanly overall with only light signs of use. A very well-kept example.
