Personal Thoughts
Eastman have absolutely nailed this formula.
The SB59/v is their take on the classic late ’50s single cut, but done with a slightly more refined feel and incredible attention to detail. The antique varnish finish gives it a really organic look and feel — thin, resonant and naturally aged.
The Goldburst top is a real highlight. It’s got that warm vintage burst character but with a bit more richness through the gold tones, and paired with the ebony board it looks seriously classy.
Lollar Imperials are a brilliant match for this guitar. Open, dynamic and very articulate — they give you that classic PAF style response but with excellent clarity.
The ebony board also adds a bit of snap and definition compared to rosewood, which works beautifully with the maple top and mahogany body.
These have become a bit of a sleeper favourite for players who want vintage-style tone and feel but with outstanding build quality straight out of the case.
Condition Report
Excellent condition. Factory aged finish from Eastman with only minimal signs of use beyond the intended ageing. Frets are excellent, neck is straight and electronics function perfectly.
Complete with original Eastman hard case.
