This is a really cool modern take on the Flying V Custom idea and one that feels much more up to date than a standard budget V. The Nitro Shift finish is obviously the big visual hook, and finishes like this work brilliantly on a Flying V because they make an already dramatic shape feel even more distinctive. The spec is strong too. The ebony board, stainless steel frets, compound radius and locking Grovers make it feel far more player-focused than a more traditional Flying V, while the mahogany body and set neck keep it rooted in that familiar Gibson-style formula. I also like the ProBucker Ignite set here, as the Futura range was launched specifically as a more modern, performance-led series with higher-spec hardware and more flexible electronics than the usual Epiphone lineup.
