This is a really cool Fender and one of the more visually distinctive Jazzmaster-style models they have done in recent years. The whole Gold Foil concept works brilliantly here, because it takes the familiar Fender shape and gives it a much more quirky, garage-rock, catalogue-guitar sort of flavour without losing proper Fender playability. The Shoreline Gold finish, matching headstock, block inlays and Bigsby all add loads of character, but the three gold foil mini humbuckers are what really set it apart. That pickup layout should give it a much broader and more unusual range of tones than a standard Jazzmaster, with plenty of chime, punch and midrange texture. I also think the mahogany body and ebony board are a big part of the appeal, as they push it slightly away from the usual Fender formula and help it feel like a genuinely different model rather than just a cosmetic variation. A very stylish and very fun offset with loads of personality.
