Personal Thoughts
The American Longboard Stratocaster is one of the most unique models Fender has ever put out, part of their "10 for '15" Limited Edition Collection. With only 500 units worldwide, it’s a rare find, especially in this condition.
The multi-wood laminate body is a real standout—it’s built like a high-end surfboard, layering mahogany, maple, rosewood, walnut, koa, and ash for a truly one-of-a-kind look. The natural satin finish keeps it smooth and organic, letting the different wood grains really shine through.
On the sound front, this HSS setup delivers serious versatility. The Fat '50s single-coils in the neck and middle give you classic Strat sparkle, while the Shawbucker in the bridge adds extra bite and warmth, perfect for when you need a little more power. The no-load tone control means you can dial in those bright, unfiltered single-coil tones, or roll it back for a smoother feel.
The Modern C neck and 9.5" radius make it super comfortable, whether you’re playing intricate leads or chunky rhythm parts. The locking tuners and two-point tremolo keep things rock solid, making this one of the more modern-feeling Strats despite its vintage-inspired aesthetic.
 
Condition Report
This guitar is in excellent condition, with only a couple of very small impressions visible upon close inspection. The natural finish is clean and well-preserved, the frets are in fantastic shape, and the hardware and electronics all function flawlessly.
 
Final Thoughts
A seriously cool and rare Strat, the American Longboard is both a collector’s piece and a fantastic player’s guitar. With its stunning wood construction, versatile pickup configuration, and limited production run, this is one of the more unique Strats Fender has ever released. If you're after something a bit different but still classic Fender, this is a killer find.
