The late-'80s Strat Plus models are brilliant guitars and have really carved out their own identity now. They are not trying to be strict vintage reissues, which is exactly why they work so well. Fender took the familiar Strat platform and updated it with genuinely useful features like Lace Sensors, locking tuners, the roller nut and the 2-point trem, so these guitars feel much more modern and practical than a standard vintage-style Strat from the same era. The Version 1 examples are especially cool because they sit right in that early Strat Plus period people tend to look for. The three Gold Lace Sensors are a big part of the appeal too, giving the guitar a smoother, quieter and more refined voice than a traditional single-coil set while still keeping plenty of Strat character. A very strong late-'80s USA Fender and one of the better modern-era Strat designs they produced.

Excellent condition. Presents very cleanly overall with only light signs of use. A very tidy early Strat Plus example.
