Candy Green under Heavy Relic is a proper Custom Shop look. Lacquer worn through to bare wood, checking across the body and aged nickel hardware, with the tortoiseshell guard already looking like it has lived on a stage for decades. The colour sits between seafoam and seafoam mint territory but with more saturated green, and the Heavy Relic work lets the alder show through in all the right places.

The '62 Spec is the early rosewood board era Fender players keep coming back to. Quartersawn maple neck in the '60s oval C (.790" / .930"), round lam rosewood, 9.5" radius and narrow tall frets give you a neck that feels lived in from the first chord without tipping into a soft V. Bone nut, vintage style tuners and the American Vintage trem keep the hardware period correct.

Hand Wound '60s Strat set with a reverse wound reverse polarity middle is the pickup package that sells this guitar. Clean positions sparkle without ice pick, the in betweens are quiet and glassy, and the bridge still has enough cut to sit in a mix. Vintage mod wiring keeps the tones usable when the volume is rolled back.

At 7 lb 14.6 oz it is a comfortable Strat weight, and it comes complete: COA, Shop Floor Traveler, hang tag, 2021 catalogue, strap, case candy and the Custom Shop hardshell. A 2021 Heavy Relic Candy Green with the full paper trail.

Mint condition. Factory Heavy Relic ageing is present as intended: lacquer wear through to bare wood, checking and aged hardware. Beyond that factory ageing, it presents excellently with no additional marks of note. Supplied with Custom Shop hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity, Shop Floor Traveler, hang tag, catalogue, strap and case candy.
