Personal Thoughts:
A very cool and quite rare spec Custom Shop build — double bound ’50s Custom Tele in Candy Apple Red. These don’t appear often and when they do, they’re usually kept — because this combination (CAR + double bound) looks absolutely sensational in real life.
This example has developed natural nitro lacquer checking across the finish, which looks entirely period-appropriate and adds to the vibe — the sort of subtle checking collectors love.
Tonally, the Twisted Tele + Broadcaster pairing is killer. The Broadcaster bridge gives you that raw, gritty punch with big mids, while the Twisted Tele neck has that more “stratty”, open top end — it’s a very versatile Tele set for blues, Americana, roots rock, and expressive lead work.
The soft ’50s C, 9.5 radius and 6105 fret wire make this feel modern-comfortable while still wearing the vintage clothes.
Condition Report:
Excellent overall. Some natural checking (looks amazing). No major marks or dents, home use only. Comes with original case and paperwork.
