This is a really appealing Custom Shop Tele and a slightly more unusual take on the early blackguard formula. The big thing that makes it stand out is the Tobacco Burst finish, because you still get all the old-school '50s Tele attitude, but with a look that feels a bit dressier and a bit less expected than the standard blonde route. The rest of the spec is exactly what you want on a guitar like this too. Ash body, maple neck, loaded '51 Nocaster set and vintage-style hardware is such a proven recipe, and it should deliver all the snap, bite and immediacy people go after in a good early-style Tele. I also like the fact it has present day wiring, as that tends to make these much more usable in the real world while keeping the overall vibe properly vintage. A very cool blackguard-inspired build with a finish that gives it its own identity.

Excellent condition. The Journeyman relic wear is factory correct as part of the original Custom Shop spec. Aside from the intentional ageing, it presents very cleanly overall with only light signs of handling and use.
