This is a really cool ’60 Reissue with a much more purposeful pickup specification than a standard SSS Custom Shop Strat. The Olympic White finish and rosewood board keep the look firmly rooted in the early ’60s, while the factory-style relic treatment gives it that familiar played-in appearance and feel.

The pickup combination is the main attraction here. Fat ’50s single-coils in the neck and middle provide the fuller, rounded Strat tones they are known for, with plenty of clarity and classic in-between sounds. The Seymour Duncan ’78 in the bridge adds a completely different dimension, giving the guitar more output, thicker mids and a stronger rock voice than a traditional single-coil bridge pickup.

That makes this a particularly versatile Custom Shop Strat: vintage-inspired cleans and rhythm tones in the neck and middle, with a much more muscular bridge sound available when needed. A great choice for someone who wants the feel and aesthetics of an early-’60s Strat without being tied to a completely traditional pickup layout.

Excellent condition. The lacquer checking, finish wear and aged hardware are part of Fender Custom Shop’s original Relic treatment rather than subsequent damage. Beyond the factory ageing, the guitar presents very cleanly with only light signs of careful use.
