Personal Thoughts
This is a really cool Custom Shop Tele and one that feels a bit more interesting than the standard vintage recipe. The spec is strong throughout. The compound 9.5"–16" radius and jumbo 6100 frets make it a much more player-friendly guitar than a strict old-school Tele, while the 60 Style Oval "C" neck should appeal to a lot of people as it tends to sit nicely in the hand without feeling too chunky. I also like the Madagascar rosewood board here, which adds a slightly more premium feel to the build, and the flame AAA maple neck gives it that extra bit of visual lift when you get it in hand. The Texas Specials make sense too — they suit a Tele like this really well, giving you plenty of bite and snap, but with a bit more push and attitude than a more traditional underwound set. Visually, the Surf Green finish with the parchment binding is a brilliant combination. It has that custom colour appeal, but still looks classy rather than overdone. A great spec overall for someone who wants Custom Shop feel and vintage style, but with a more modern edge where it matters.
Condition Report
Mint condition. Factory Journeyman Relic ageing as per original Custom Shop specification. Aside from the intentional ageing, it presents beautifully overall. Overseas import.
