This is a beautifully traditional early-’60s Custom Shop Strat, finished in one of Fender’s most iconic custom colours. The aged Lake Placid Blue works perfectly against the dark AAA rosewood board and period-style green guard, with the Heavy Relic treatment adding substantial checking and wear without losing the elegance of the original colour.

The neck specification stays very close to vintage territory. The ’60s Oval C profile measures .790" at the first fret and .930" at the twelfth, while the 7.25" radius and early-’60s construction give it the rounded, familiar feel associated with original pre-CBS Strats. The AAA rosewood board is a particularly nice upgrade and gives the guitar a very rich, dark appearance.

A complete set of hand-wound ’65 Strat pickups gives this guitar a clear, articulate single-coil voice with plenty of glass, bite and classic Fender character. Combined with the vintage-style tremolo and traditional electronics, it is a very convincing old-school Strat specification with the fit, consistency and playability of a modern Custom Shop instrument.

Mint condition beyond the intentional Fender Custom Shop Heavy Relic treatment. The lacquer checking, finish wear, exposed areas and aged hardware are all part of the original factory ageing rather than subsequent damage. No noteworthy additional wear or issues to mention.
