The ’62 Jazzmaster is one of Fender’s most characterful designs, and this Custom Shop Journeyman Relic captures the spirit perfectly. The Fiesta Red finish is a classic offset colour and looks superb against the tort guard and lightly aged hardware — tasteful relic work that feels authentic without being overdone.The rift-sawn maple neck adds stability and a slightly snappier response, while the round-lam rosewood board keeps things warm and smooth under the fingers. The 9.5" radius modernises the feel just enough to make this an effortless player without losing any of the vintage Jazzmaster vibe.
Tonally, the hand-wound Jazzmaster pickups deliver exactly what you want — wide, airy cleans with plenty of harmonic complexity, and a throaty, slightly gritty response when pushed. It’s a brilliant guitar for surf, indie, alternative, post-rock, and anything that benefits from depth and texture.
