  • Personal Thoughts

This is a really cool spec, and exactly the sort of Bass VI build that makes the Custom Shop versions so appealing. The Sea Foam Green finish with the brown shell guard looks spot on, but it is the neck spec that really sells it to me. A '60 Style Oval "C", round-lam rosewood board, 9.5" radius and 6105 fretwire is a great middle ground between vintage feel and something a bit more forgiving to actually play. The 30" scale keeps that unmistakable Bass VI character, while the trio of '62 Jaguar flat magnet pickups should give it all the wiry, punchy, clanky texture people want from these. It is one of those instruments that sits in its own lane — not quite a guitar, not quite a conventional bass — and that is exactly why they are so much fun. The platform details like the 30" scale, vintage Bass VI wiring and Jaguar-style bridge/tailpiece setup are also consistent with Fender Custom Shop Bass VI specs from the period.

  • Condition Report

Excellent condition. Factory Journeyman Relic ageing is part of the original spec. Aside from the intentional ageing, it presents very well overall with only light signs of genuine use.
