This is a really classy Custom Shop Strat and a great spec for someone wanting that early-'60s feel with a slightly more player-friendly setup. Firemist Gold is such a strong colour on a Strat, and with the Heavy Relic treatment it gives the guitar loads of character without losing any of the elegance that makes metallic custom colours so appealing. The rest of the spec is very well judged too. The round-lam rosewood board, alder body and hand-wound '60s pickup set keep it firmly in that sweet, glassy vintage Strat lane, while the 9.5" radius, 6150 fretwire and tone on bridge make it much easier to live with in the real world. I also like that it has the proper central lab switch and all the smaller period-style details, because that is the sort of thing that helps these higher-end Custom Shop builds feel a bit more complete. A very attractive and very usable Strat.

Excellent condition. Factory Heavy Relic finish as part of the original Custom Shop spec. Aside from the intentional ageing, it presents very cleanly overall with only light signs of genuine handling and use. Backplate is included.
