Personal Thoughts:
The 2015 Ancho Poblano run is now regarded as iconic — this was the first year these hotter, mid-forward handwound pickups were introduced, and the tone is unmistakable. They have that chewy, throaty, “pushed” Strat voice that responds beautifully to pick dynamics and tube amps.
Playability is effortless thanks to the fret wire and 9.5" radius — it sits right at the sweet spot between vintage feel and modern precision. The Journeyman relic treatment is tastefully minimal — not overdone, just that lightly lived-in look that feels instantly comfortable.
A very collectible and very musical era of CS production.
Condition Report:
Excellent overall. Some light signs of being played, consistent with the Journeyman spec and gentle use. Frets remain clean, hardware lightly aged from factory and still sharp looking. Case, COA, and all paperwork included.
