Personal Thoughts:
A seriously special Custom Shop Strat — this is one of those true NAMM wall-piece guitars. The Vintage White over Paisley is one of the coolest Custom Shop aesthetic combinations ever done — it gives you that worn, reworked, “customised by a working musician in the 60s” vibe, but with full boutique Fender execution.
The Handwound Poblano set delivers that thick, spicy, assertive midrange they’re famous for — punchier than vintage 50s winds but still full of that bell-like Strat top end. Perfect for blues rock, Texas tones, and expressive lead work.
The quarter sawn flame neck is gorgeous, the fret ghosting is a killer little detail, and the guitar plays exactly how you want a hot ’57 V-neck Strat to play — fast, lively, resonant and inspiring.
This is one of those Custom Shop releases that collectors actively seek out.
Condition Report:
Excellent — some incredibly light signs of play, but extremely clean overall. Very close to mint. No marks of note. Case / COA / all candy present.
