This is a seriously cool Custom Shop Strat and one of the more distinctive limited runs Fender have done in recent years. The Lake Placid Blue finish already gives it loads of visual appeal, but with the super faded treatment and super heavy relic work it takes on a much more aggressive, broken-in look that really suits the Red Hot concept. The spec underneath is strong too. The rift sawn flame maple neck, maple board, 9.5" radius and narrow tall frets should make it feel lively and snappy, but still very easy to play. I also really like the hand-wound Red Hot pickup set here, because the whole point of this guitar is that it pushes a Strat slightly harder and gives it a bit more attitude without losing that familiar Fender character. The Greasebucket wiring is a nice touch as well, helping keep the guitar usable across a wider range of sounds. A very eye-catching and very player-focused limited Custom Shop Strat.

Mint condition. Factory super heavy relic finish as part of the original Custom Shop limited spec. No additional wear of note beyond the intentional ageing.
