Personal Thoughts:
This is proper early-’60s Strat territory.
A slab-board ’62 in Aged Olympic White is one of those forever specs — understated, classy, and timeless. The thin skin nitro and heavy relic treatment give it that naturally worn-in feel straight out of the case.
The ’60 Style Oval C carve is spot on — comfortable, familiar, and very usable. At .790" to .930", it has just enough shoulder without feeling chunky. Combined with the 9.5" radius and 6105 frets, it feels like a player’s Custom Shop rather than a museum piece.
The hand-wound ’60/’63 set is where this guitar really earns its stripes. Clear and glassy in the neck, woody and vocal in the middle, and that slightly sharper bite in the bridge — proper pre-CBS character but with modern reliability. The RWRP middle keeps positions 2 and 4 hum-cancelling and gig-friendly.
Olympic White against the rosewood slab board is always a winner. It’s the Strat you picture when someone says “early ’60s Fender.”
