Personal Thoughts:
The Mischief Maker models are some of the most fun and characterful guitars Fender Custom Shop have produced — blending classic Strat DNA with Telecaster attitude and a healthy dose of Custom Shop creativity. This Daphne Blue over Sunburst finish is a real standout, with the relic work revealing layers beautifully and giving the guitar instant vintage mojo.
The Tele-style birdseye maple neck is a joy. The large ’50s “V” fills the hand in a reassuring way without feeling clunky, and the slight ’60s influence keeps it comfortable and playable across the board. Combined with the 9.5" radius, it strikes a great balance between vintage feel and modern usability.
Tonally, this is a seriously versatile Strat. The ’69 neck pickup delivers that open, glassy top end, the ’65 RW/RP middle adds clarity and hum-cancelling in positions 2 and 4, while the Texas Special bridge brings extra output, bite, and punch when you need it. It covers everything from classic Strat chime to bluesy grit and rock-ready drive with ease.
This is a guitar that doesn’t take itself too seriously — but absolutely delivers when it counts.
