Personal Thoughts
This is exactly the sort of Strat people look for when they want the Custom Shop magic turned up a notch. A Jason Smith Masterbuilt already puts it in a more desirable bracket, but the spec itself is also right in the sweet spot. The alder body, slab rosewood board and '60s Oval “C” neck are a classic combination, and the 9.5" radius with 6105 frets usually gives these a much easier playing feel than a stricter vintage setup. That is a big part of why these guitars work so well — they look convincingly old and broken-in, but they still feel like serious modern players’ instruments. The Olympic White over mint guard is timeless too, and the heavy relic work gives it loads of attitude without losing that classy early-'60s Strat look. On comparable Custom Shop '62 Heavy Relic Strats, Fender specs this formula with alder, a maple neck, AAA rosewood slab board, 9.5" radius, 6105 frets, bone nut and a '60s Oval “C” carve, which fits this guitar very closely.
Condition Report
Excellent condition. Factory relic wear is part of the original Custom Shop specification. Aside from the intentional ageing, it presents very well overall with only light signs of handling and use.
