This is exactly the sort of M2M Les Paul Custom that feels genuinely special. Kerry Green is a fantastic colour on a Custom, as it gives the guitar a really rich custom-order look without losing the classy, formal feel that makes a Les Paul Custom so appealing in the first place. The Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged treatment should suit it perfectly too, just taking the edge off the brand-new look and giving it a slightly more natural, broken-in feel without overpowering the finish. I also think the spec works really well here. The plain maple top and weight-relieved mahogany body keep it rooted in that familiar Les Paul Custom formula, while the ebony board, medium jumbo frets and 490R / 498T set give it a slightly more muscular, modern edge than a more vintage-voiced Custombucker setup. A very attractive and very tasteful Custom Shop build.
