This is a beautifully traditional ’59 ES-335 Reissue, finished in a classic Vintage Burst that suits the model perfectly. The darker outer edge and warm amber centre give the guitar a very convincing late-’50s look, especially alongside the rosewood board, dot inlays and nickel hardware.

The ’59-style Rounded C neck is one of the biggest attractions here, offering a fuller and more substantial feel than the slimmer early-’60s profiles. Combined with the 24.75" scale and semi-hollow construction, it gives the guitar a wonderfully relaxed, resonant feel in the hand.

The unpotted Alnico III Custombuckers are a great match for the platform, with plenty of openness, harmonic detail and dynamic response. Clean tones are warm and woody, while driven sounds retain definition and air rather than becoming overly compressed.

A superb Custom Shop 335 with a very classic specification, strong vintage character and the sort of balanced feel that makes these ’59 Reissues such versatile guitars.
