Personal Thoughts:
The 2013–2015 period is widely regarded as a very strong era for Gibson Custom Shop Les Pauls, and this ’60s Standard Reissue is a great example. The Cherry Sunburst finish is classic and tasteful — vibrant without being overdone — and the overall build quality is exactly what you’d expect from this era.
The Klein ’59 pickups are a superb upgrade and really elevate the guitar. They deliver that airy top end, vocal midrange and woody low-end response that vintage PAF fans chase, with excellent note separation and touch sensitivity. Clean tones are articulate and three-dimensional, while driven sounds have real bite and harmonic complexity.
The slim ’60s neck profile makes this a particularly easy and fast-playing Les Paul without sacrificing substance. Combined with the butyrate knobs and overall vintage-correct feel, this is a very musical, well-thought-out example that balances collectability with genuine player appeal.
Condition Report:
Excellent condition. Very light signs of use only, with no significant marks or issues to note. Frets are in great shape. Klein pickups are installed cleanly; original knobs are included with the guitar. Case and COA present.
