This is a very cool and genuinely distinctive Custom Shop signature model, because it is not just a standard Les Paul with an artist name attached to it. The Axcess platform already makes it a much more modern and versatile instrument, with the contoured heel, Floyd Rose system and piezo-equipped bridge giving it a much broader range than a traditional Les Paul. That works especially well for an Alex Lifeson model, as it reflects the more expansive, effect-heavy and dynamic side of his playing rather than just chasing vintage-correct spec for the sake of it. The Royal Crimson finish looks superb too, and I think it suits the slightly more forward-thinking nature of the guitar better than a more conservative burst would. The signed aspect is worth calling out properly as well — the first 50 guitars were signed, split as 25 Royal Crimson and 25 Viceroy Brown, with unsigned production models following after that. That makes this a notably rarer and more collectible version of the model rather than just a standard Axcess in a good colour.

Excellent condition. Presents very cleanly overall with only light signs of use. A very well-kept example of a scarce signed first-run model.
