The Collector’s Choice series from Gibson Custom Shop is all about recreating specific, historically significant Les Pauls down to the finest detail—and #12 is a true gem. Based on a real 1957 Goldtop from a private collection, this reissue captures the essence of a well-loved, road-worn vintage original.
The aged goldtop finish is one of the most visually striking in the series, with perfectly executed checking, dulling, and subtle wear that adds a ton of character without being overdone. The Custom Buckers are clear, open, and incredibly responsive—nailing that dry, woody vintage Les Paul tone that players obsess over.
The '50s neck carve is chunky but comfortable, filling the hand in a way that inspires confidence and sustain. Everything about this guitar feels boutique and purposeful—from the resonance of the body to the articulation in every note.

In mint to excellent condition. This guitar has been well looked after and remains exactly as it left the Custom Shop—aged finish and hardware are factory applied, with no additional wear or play damage. Frets are in superb shape and the electronics are working flawlessly.
