Personal Thoughts:
“Louis” is a legend in the Collector’s Choice lineup—and for good reason. This guitar is a spot-on recreation of a particularly clean and vividly flamed ’59 burst, and the Dirty Lemon finish is pure vintage gold: aged, faded, and absolutely dripping with mojo.
Sonically, it’s everything a good Burst should be—open, dynamic, and punchy. The unpotted Custom Buckers deliver articulate bite and harmonic bloom that gets better the more you push it. The neck carve is full but comfortable, and the flame top? Easily one of the nicest from the series.
If you’re after a collectible Les Paul that also happens to be an outrageous player—this is it.
