Personal Thoughts:
This is one of the truly great Collector’s Choice guitars. With its bold top, dark-edged Tobacco Burst, and authentic 1959 specs, it gets frighteningly close to the original bursts we all dream of. The unpotted Custom Buckers bring all the vintage clarity, openness, and touch sensitivity, and it absolutely nails the honky, woody tone you expect from a ‘59.
The neck is comfortable but meaty — not a baseball bat, but full in the hands, and the whole guitar feels resonant and alive, even unplugged. As vintage-accurate as it gets without shelling out six figures.
Condition Report:
Excellent overall with only the slightest hints of handling wear. No major dings or chips. Very light VOS aging throughout with clean frets, no repairs, and all electronics working perfectly. Collector-owned and carefully maintained.
