This is a really classy Les Paul Custom and one that feels a bit more understated and elegant than the more obvious custom-colour route. The Antique Natural finish works brilliantly on a guitar like this, especially with an AAA+ carved maple top, because it lets the figuring and wood selection do all the talking. That gives it a more refined, high-end look while still keeping the unmistakable Les Paul Custom feel underneath. The spec is strong too. The chambered mahogany body should keep it a little more open and manageable in weight, while the ebony board, block inlays and Custom styling keep it firmly in that premium Gibson lane. I also think the 490R and 498T set makes a lot of sense here, as it gives the guitar a bit more push and bite than a lower-output vintage-style setup, which helps balance the more elegant visual presentation. A very attractive Dealer Select Custom Shop build and a great example of a Les Paul Custom with a bit of extra top appeal.
