These 2018 Historic '58 reissues are superb Les Pauls and a really strong choice for someone who wants the proper Custom Shop historic feel without stepping up to the price of the more hyped anniversary models. The spec is exactly what makes them so appealing. You have the Figured maple top, chunky neck carve, nylon nut, no-wire ABR-1, lightweight aluminium tailpiece and Custombucker Alnico III set, so it leans very hard into the old-school Les Paul formula. I also like the fact that the 2018 models carried over a lot of the more historically minded updates into the standard Historic line, because it makes them feel that bit more convincing and complete. Iced Tea Burst always works beautifully on an R8 too, giving it that classic late-'50s look with plenty of warmth and character. A really desirable Historic-spec Les Paul and one that tends to appeal equally to players and collectors.

Excellent condition. Presents very cleanly overall with only light signs of use. A very well-kept example of a strong Historic-spec Custom Shop Les Paul.
