Personal Thoughts:
This is a seriously cool piece of Gibson Custom Shop history – an extremely limited "Blue Widow" Les Paul Custom made exclusively for a select Japanese dealer, with a few pieces finding their way into Germany but never officially released in the UK. The translucent satin finish lets the subtle flame maple top peek through just enough, but the real show-stealers are the matching blue binding and blue Gibson logo – details that make this guitar unmistakable. It’s lightweight for a Custom, super resonant, and plays with that classic Les Paul chunk and richness. The '57 Classics offer warmth, bite, and smooth mids. A true collector's piece with a unique aesthetic twist.
Condition Report:
Excellent overall condition. There is one minor nitro burn on the front which is only visible in certain lighting – not deep or through to the wood, and purely cosmetic. The satin finish is otherwise beautifully preserved. Frets are in great shape, hardware shows no wear, and the guitar plays effortlessly. Fresh set of 10–46 strings just fitted.
