Personal Thoughts:
This 2025 Murphy Lab ’57 Goldtop is an absolute stunner. The Ultra Light Aging is tastefully subtle—just the right touch of checking and aged hardware to give it that lived-in look without going overboard. You still get all the new guitar feel, but with the unmistakable character of a Golden Era classic.
The chunky ’50s neck carve fills the hand nicely without being too much, and the Custombuckers offer glorious vintage tones—warm and open, but with plenty of bite when pushed. The resonance is strong unplugged, and it sustains beautifully.
If you’ve been after a Goldtop with proper vintage flair and modern reliability, this is it.
