The Murphy Lab ’58 ES-335 Reissue is the perfect marriage of vintage tone, feel, and artistry. Finished in Faded Tobacco Burst, this example wears the full Heavy Aged treatment with an authenticity that looks and feels like a true late-’50s survivor. Every finish check and hardware mark is executed by hand in Gibson’s Murphy Lab to perfectly replicate genuine vintage wear.
The ’58 neck profile is full and rounded but never cumbersome, giving a comfortable, resonant feel that’s ideal for blues, jazz, and classic rock. The Custombucker Alnico III pickups deliver all the warmth, clarity, and air you’d expect from vintage PAFs — smooth, articulate, and incredibly responsive to dynamics.
