Personal Thoughts
This is a lovely spec for a Murphy Lab R9 and one that feels a little more special than the standard burst options. Golden Poppy Burst is a great colour on a figured top because it keeps that classic late-'50s Les Paul look, but with a slightly brighter, more vivid edge to it. Spec-wise it is exactly what most people want from a good '59 reissue: lightweight mahogany body, figured maple top, proper long tenon construction, rosewood board, medium C neck carve and a pair of unpotted Custombuckers. That combination is such a big part of why these work so well. The Custombuckers tend to keep plenty of openness and detail, while the medium '59 carve usually lands in a really nice middle ground where it still feels substantial without becoming too much hard work. The Ultra Light Aged treatment is another plus for me, because it gives the guitar that slightly softened, played-in feel without pushing too far into heavy relic territory. A very desirable Murphy Lab Les Paul and a very classy example of the model.

Mint condition. Factory Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged finish treatment as part of the original spec. No additional wear of note beyond the intentional factory ageing.
