  • Personal Thoughts

These mid-’90s Les Paul Classics have built a following for good reason. They were Gibson’s more aggressive, hotter-rodded take on the old 1960 Les Paul idea, so you still get the slim taper neck and familiar sunburst look, but with the much punchier 496R and 500T pickup set. That makes them feel a bit more direct and more rock-focused than some of the softer vintage-style reissues. I also think 1990s Classics have a character all of their own now, and the Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish always suits them well. They have that recognisable Classic look, and when you find a clean one from this era it makes a very appealing alternative to a Historic or Standard. The added humbucker covers are worth noting too, as they smarten the look up a touch and give it a slightly more traditional appearance than the usual open-coil Classic setup.

  • Condition Report

Very Good condition. Presents very cleanly overall with only light signs of use. Humbucker covers have been added, which should be regarded as a later change from the usual open-coil factory look. Overall a very tidy and well-kept example.
